Constitutional & Administrative Law
The relationship between the individual and the state is characterised by a particular tension: public authorities make decisions that can directly affect everyday life, professional development and personal freedom. It is therefore all the more important that state action remains within the boundaries of the law and that individuals know and are able to effectively exercise their rights.
Migration & Residence
A particular focus of my practice is migration and residence law. Questions concerning residence and immigration are often connected to far-reaching personal decisions: building a life in Germany, taking up employment, living together with family members, or determining whether and under what conditions permanent residence is possible.
I also have a personal connection to this area of law. My parents are from Iran, and I grew up speaking two languages and with two cultural perspectives. This experience continues to shape the way I approach migration and residence law: I know that these matters are not simply about legal categories, but about concrete situations in which uncertainty, expectations and decisions about the future are closely intertwined. Questions of residence concern people, their plans for their lives and, often, their entire personal future. Being able to communicate in German or Persian can provide an additional foundation for a trusting professional relationship.
I believe that people should be able to move freely, live and work within the framework established by law. Where migration and residence law provides a legal entitlement to residence, those rights must be effectively and promptly enforced. A prolonged period of uncertainty can place a significant personal and professional burden on those affected. My aim is therefore to help ensure that residence-related matters are clarified as efficiently as possible, so that people can obtain legal certainty as quickly as possible and build their lives and pursue their professional activities on that basis.
Further Areas of Administrative Law
My practice is not limited to residence and migration law. I also advise and represent clients in other areas of administrative law, including administrative decisions, objection proceedings, permits and authorisations, as well as police and regulatory law.
Administrative decisions can also have a significant impact on personal or business plans in areas such as planning and building law and commercial and trade law. I assist you in dealing with public authorities and represent you both in administrative proceedings and before the administrative courts.
When a Public Authority Has Made a Decision
Not every decision made by a public authority is necessarily correct or lawful. If an authority rejects an application, takes a decision that adversely affects you, or refuses to grant a required permit, the question often arises as to what legal options are available.
I review the decision and its legal basis, explain the options available to you and assist you with the enforcement of your rights, both out of court and before the courts.
The aim is not simply to conduct proceedings. What matters is to clarify the legal situation at an early stage and work towards a solution that provides you with the legal certainty you need for your personal or professional plans.
