Contract & Civil Law

Contracts create binding obligations and often form the basis of business relationships, personal decisions and financial commitments. At the same time, legal disputes frequently arise where agreements are unclear, expectations differ or one party fails to fulfil its obligations.

Drafting and reviewing contracts

I advise you on the review, drafting and legal assessment of contracts. This is not only about formulating individual clauses, but also about clearly defining rights and obligations and identifying potential legal risks at an early stage.

This may include purchase agreements, leases, contracts for work and services, service agreements and other types of contracts – both in private and business matters.

When a contractual relationship becomes a dispute

Agreed services are not always provided as expected. Payments remain outstanding, services are provided late or defectively, or a dispute arises as to what was actually agreed.

In such situations, I review the underlying agreements and the resulting rights and obligations. I assist you in enforcing contractual claims or defending against unjustified claims and, where possible, in reaching an out-of-court solution.

Civil law claims

Civil disputes do not, however, always arise from contracts. Claims for damages, payment, restitution or other civil-law claims can also lead to disputes between individuals or businesses.

I assist you in assessing such claims, in out-of-court correspondence and negotiations, as well as in their enforcement or defence before the courts.

Your matter

Whether you are seeking legal certainty before entering into a contract, have already been confronted with a claim, or wish to resolve an existing dispute, the first step is to understand the legal situation and determine the appropriate course of action.
